Warm up went over applications of special trig limits. Reviewed limit definitions of vertical and horizontal asymptotes and worked through examples on how to find and justify them.

Homework:
- backside of worksheet #13-24 [blank copy here] [see answers here]
- finish practice assessment (see Friday's post for blank copy + solutions)
In DS, checked solutions for infinite limits on back of worksheet and practice assessment solutions. Took real assessment in class, then developed definition of continuity by using the analogy of roads and bridges. See below for handout; if absent, please complete the handout (can help you getting started in Thursday DS). Introduced definition of continuity as a 3 step process in terms of math notation and roads/bridges metaphor.

Homework:
p. 79 #36-60 (multiples of 3)
Modified instructions: For each problem, do the following:
- sketch a graph of the function
- identify any points of discontinuity
- use limit notation to describe the discontinuity
- label each discontinuity as jump, removable, or infinite
