Went over last assessment in rigorous detail. Passed out derivatives packet (due next Monday).

Learned about inverse trig derivatives in DS, including the final 6 derivative rules to have to know. Warm up in class was applying these to find a numerical derivative and the equation of a tangent line. Looked at certain algebraic techniques to help "simplify" an answer after taking a derivative when taking a multiple choice test or to rewrite the answer into an equivalent representation. Showed how to factor when it may not seem possible and use properties of logs/exponents to make derivatives easier to take in the first place. Then played the tan line game, which we will finish on Friday.

Warm up was 2 AP no calculator multiple choice problems. Finished the tangent line game in pairs, then briefly talked about motion, units of measure for distance as opposed to velocity and acceleration, and the hierarchy of position-velocity-acceleration as function-derivative-2nd derivative. Started to look at velocity graphs.
