Passed back AP multiple choice packets, finished tangent line game.
Homework:
Finish bingo handout by getting 2 bingos and do 2-28 evens on same handout (digital copy in last week's post )
Assessment Wed in DS on linearization, horizontal and vertical tangents, chain rule, and differentiability
Assessed in DS. Talked about what kind of language we use to describe position, velocity, and acceleration, especially in terms of units and rates of change, and how this leads to the F-F prime-F double prime hierarchy of Position-Velocity-Acceleration. Started graphically and then algebraically to determine when a moving object is at rest, when it changes direction, and when it achieves a maximum height/displacement.

Passed back assessments, warm up was a graphical interpretation of movement based on the given graph of a velocity function. Went over hw, then discussed difference between implicit and explicit functions. Re-introduced the idea of an operator and showed how to use the derivative as an operator, bringing us to the process of implicit differentiation (which makes use of the chain rule). Worked through several examples.
