Passed back assessments. Went over some examples dealing with differentiability including solving a system of equations to make a function differentiable (also looked at the graph of this).
Reviewed concept of implicit vs. explicit functions. Examined the chain rule in some more detail. Then introduced implicit differentiation which combines the idea of derivative as operator and the chain rule.

(worked out some other examples for u on my own because I am a nerd)
Homework:
- AP MC packet due Friday; see some challenging problems worked out HERE
- Due Wednesday:p. 393: #10, 43, 60, 63, 72, 73 (D-AD2, 3) [good prep for Weds' assessment]
= Due Friday: p, 145 #1, 3-30 (multiples of 3) (D-AD5)

In DS we looked at some practice problems relating to position, velocity, and acceleration. Here are the notes
In class we went over p. 393 homework and reviewed for the assessment on inverse trig and exp/log derivatives. After the assessment we looked at an implicit differentiation example. Notes here
Homework:
AP Multiple Choice Packet pushed back to MONDAY
Due Friday: p. 145: 1, 3-30 (multiples of 3) (D-AD5)
Resources:
see Monday's post
Passed back assessments. Went over homework on implicit differentiation. Saw how to use implicit differentiation to find second derivative. Lecture notes for that. Played the tangent line matching game.
Homework:
Finish AP multiple choice packet for Monday. see Monday's post for some solutions for the tough problems.
