No school today because of Labor Day
Wednesday
Assessment on showing continuity, finding and classifying discontinuities, and making functions continuous. Went over AP problems on limits and continuity using egg clickers. Introduction to the intermediate value theorem, an "existence" theorem which guarantees a value based on certain criteria. Here are some lecture notes from the last few days. (F-C4)

Warm up on the IVT. Remember that continuity on a closed interval is a condition of the IVT; if the function is not continuous, then the theorem does not apply.
Worked through more IVT examples from the homework. Lecture notes will be posted shortly. Began group work on limit challenge problems related to geometry. Will finish on Monday. Assessment on Monday. Note that the midterm has been rescheduled to 9/23 (instead of 9/18). Lecture notes
Homework: p. AP1-1: (comes after pg 94) #1-10 (due Wednesday)
